A detective interviews Beyers as he explains what happened. It was at a convention where Beyers meets a woman named Holly. She explains her boyfriend kidnaped her daughter. Holly give Beyers a URL and Beyers log on. The file is encrypted though, but a nearby man named Melvin Frohike decides to decypher the file. Holly daugher name is Susan Modeski. When the two see Holly again, she points at Mulder, who they don't know yet and say he is the one who kidnaped her child. Frohike and Beyers go up to Mulder only to learn that he his an FBI agent. They get help from a Ringo Langly on information that Holly is Susan Modeski who was wanted for a bombing of a FBI lab.
They talk to Modeski or Holly and she explains that the part about her daughter was a lie. But the information that was put on her record were all lies as well. She explains to the Gunmen that the Government is planning to release some kind of paranoia inducting gas. Using the encrypted files at Frohike and Langly solved they find a werehouse where the drug is being held. The drug is put in a strange inhaler. Mulder walks in and says everyone is arrested. When Government officals come in Mulder ask who they are. They fire and they hit one of the asthma container, make Mulder go crazy. The officals grab Modeski but she over powers them and shoots the officals and runs. The Lone Gunmen are in shock but X comes out and scares the crap out of them. The next day Modeski contacts the three. She says that no one believes her story. Seconds later government officals grad Modeski and drive away...
