Cassandra is found but instead of talking to her son Jeffrey Spender, she wants to talk to Mulder. During the events the faceless shape shifting rebels have infiltrated the Sydnicate and are taking out the Syndicate one by one in an inside job.

Cassandra confirms that the aliens are planning to infect everyone with the black oil to start colonization. The two agents go back to Mulder's old office but are caught by buttmonkey Spender, Scully does some searching and finds out that Cassandra first abduction was November 27, 1973, the night Samantha disappeared. ...

In the whole episode we hear CSM talking about the whole conspriacy, up to date. The camera then turns and its Diana Fowley, willing to help the old man...

At Mulder's apartment Cassandra runs to Mulder for help. But he plea is to kill her, she is the perfect human alien hybrid, and if she dies, the the work of 50 years dies with her, that colonization will stop. Scully doesn't buy it but Mulder pulls out his gun...
