Beyers think the government had done something to Susan. But really she was engaged with an offical and Beyers is hurt.
The death of two of the lone Gunmen friends lead to a weird mind controlling drug, that is used on Scully during an autopsy to take her off the case and makes her a bit breezy. Scully is given something to fight the mind controlling drug but no one knows that someone as inject the same drug into Langy. But it was to kill Susan. During the conference Langly comes in and shoot Susan. Beyers and Frohike are paramedics and take Susan away. She whole thing was staged and Langly was cured before he did anything crazy. But one of the nerdy friends of the Lone Gunmen is actually working for the government. He opens the door and kills Susan's fiance but is stopped by Beyers. Susan is supposedly dead is now Holly Fiztergald. She leaves Beyers but gives him the wedding ring that ws intened for her dead finace.
