18. Milagro

Scully meets Philip Padgett Mulder's new neighbor. He's a writer and kind of weird. Mulder sparks up a conversation about a man with his heart being pulled out without a drop of blood, stitches or anything. Mulder calls it psychic surgery. Mulder finds a dead body with of course, the heart missing, while Scully gets a charm or a milagro.
Scully talks to Padgett, but Mulder breaks up the two and finds Padgett's book, describing the death of already 2 victims. He is later taken into custody as Mulder thinks that he is killing and writing or some psychic ablitity.
After another death, Padgett is free because he was in jail the time. But Mulder still believes that Padgett is guilty and thinks that Padgett has some psychic ability with the dead psychic surgeon Naciamento. Naciamento tells Padgett to write that Naciamento kills Scully in a story ( Naciamento can only act when Padgett writes it in his own story) . He writes it. But then goes to burn it as Mulder confronts Padgett. But he can hear a struggle upstairs in his apartment. Naciamento is taking Scully's heart, literally. But Padgett burns his book and saves Scully. Scully shaken and covered in her own blood grabs on to Mulder as we see Padgett still beating heart in his own hand.
