Mulder and Scully ask Rob about the private eye hired by his neighbor to watch him went. Rob lies to the agents. His therapist arrives Dr. Rhinehart. He exposes what he truly is, a brain sucking monster. But she sympathizes for him. Mulder and Scully burst in. Dr. Rhinehart believes that Rob is a good man, but the agents won't have it. Rob knows that they will open fire so he saves her life as he lunges at Mulder and Scully. They fire and he is dead. Dying, Rhinehart why he did it and he says, " I can't be what I'm not"
