From an unknown source, Mulder gets information on the legendary Area 51, the oldest of alien folklore. He of course drags Scully along. But the two are intercepted by Area 51 agents. All of a sudden though, some unknown craft explodes and makes some weird time rift which causes Mulder and one of the Area 51 agents Morris Fletcher to switch bodies.
Morris is enjoying being in Mulder's body and so is Mulder, well a little. Morris family is completely disfunctional and Mulder tries to find a way to switch his body back, but Morris isn't trying as hard at the FBI. Mulder somehow gets in contact with Scully, the real Mulder I might say, and says he is the real Mulder. Scully doesn't believe him but Mulder says to meet her at a local convient store so he can give her real proof that he is the real Mulder. But Morris in Mulder's body tells AD Kersh and with the help of Scully Mulder in Morris's body is arrested. Scully then starts to wonder if she did the right thing.
