We meet the father of the X-Files Arthur Dale. A tale of a water monster attracts Mulder and of course he drags Scully along. They talk to Aruthur but nothing else. But a hurricane keeps the two from leaving Florida and force them into a hotel. There they meet some interesting people, including a nine month pregnant woman. Something is in the water and causes the agents and everyone else in the hotel to freak out. But Scully learns that this creature dies in fresh water, as the rain washes away the dirty infected water. All while Scully plays doctor when the pregnant woman gives birth. Arthur credits Scully a job well done.
