Winnowill was once one of the residents of Blue Mountain she lived with the Gliders but was the only one in the mountain who could not fly. She was a healer of great strength but after many years within the confines of Blue Mountain with nothing for her to fix because no one was hurt inside the mountain, her powers festered and turned evil.
Winnowill has one son that we know of, when she chose to venture out of Blue Mountain to find the real palace for Lord Voll (who was once her lovemate) she came upon a sick troll she healed him and eventually had a child by him, Two-Edge,(which could only be done because of her healing powers) she then killed him when he turned back to his original quest (which i believe was to capture rock shapers) and locked up Two-Edge so Lord Voll would never know what she had done and she eventually she drove her son mad by poking in his brain with her powers.
Winnowill also shapechanged the Glider Tyldak into his birdlike form at his request but she used this favor almost like blackmail to have him do whatever she liked or else she would take his new shape away, when Tyldak and
Dewshine recognized she found out Dewshines soul name and used it againt her later on when Aroree brought Windkin as a replacement for her place in the Chosen Eight and Dewshine came to try and steal her son back.
Winnowill used Rayek to try and turn the egg into the new palace but because of Cutter and his family she was stopped,
Leetah started to heal Winnowill but before she could finish the great egg began to crumble and they had to escape on the way out Tyldak snatched the cocoon Winnowill was in away from
Cutter and left her on some deserted island (here apparently sometime there was something going on with the old wavedancers series).
Eventually Winnowill shapechanged herself to breath water, she was the one who convinced Rayek to take the Palace forward in time and she lived in the sea for the thousands of years it took for the palace to come back(during this time she also shapechanged thousands of creatures which
Embers tribe later on fights), when it did she attempted to kill Rayek, Leetah and everyone else in the palace but failed and was defeated by Rayek and Venka.
Winnowill lived inside the palace wall in some type of coma or something for several years then awoke one day and took control of the palace i think
Venka used her powers to to stop her and Winnowill lost control of the palace and smashed the palace into the mountain splintering it into thousands of peices.
She managed to heal herself after that then shaped herself into a human taking on the name Lady Venovel and became a ummm friend to the Djun. She was killed by the Djun who didn't realize that releasing her spirit would be more dangerous than her having a body. Instead of letting her spirit go free Rayek trapped it inside of him which is where she still resides.
