this is an explanation, sorta, on the different parts of a magic card
Name: The name of the card (duh!)
Mana Cost: The ammount of mana you must tap to cast the spell (creatures are spells too!)
Picture: A picture of the card (normally using it's ability) in the mind of the illustrator
Type: Normally here it will say the type of card (ie. sorcery, creature, instant, interrupt, enchantment) but on some creatures it says 'summon *name of creature/classification of creature*'
Edition: Here it will have the symbol of the edition it is, this card is part of the Invasion edition
Abilities: Here it clearly states what the card does/can do. Sometimes abilities have a mana cost of their own.
Illustrator/year published: It's sorta obvious what this is... ;)
saying: Cards sometimes have little quotes here that give you an idea of the card, i guess...
attack/defense: attack power and defense power, in that order
