Brujeria is the Mexican cultural form of witchcraft. Brujeria is practiced daily in our area. People claim they don't do the dark side of witchcraft, but that is not totally true. Many people do harmful, black magick against their own family, neighbors, friends, and often, even against people who they do not even know. In our area the owl often represents witches, who attack during the night hours. Because we have so many large black birds, people have also used the big old black, noisy birds to represent witches. Current suspected # of Mexican/Hispanic brujas/brujos, witches in the immediate area= approximately 175.
