A New Life

I’ve been brought from my darkness
Into a new, awakening world
Tranquility and serenity
Envelope me in their embrace

That was worse than death
For I was being eaten alive
By unknown creatures nibbling at my mind
They poisoned me and tortured me
But you brought the light
You drove them away
You’ve healed my wounds created by them
You’ve filled my life with love
And given me everything that I need
Hope, love, happiness, and comfort
Are what you have given to me
