ABOUT SCHWEIZER: (from DV WORLD)
Courses Taught: Delaware Valley Middle School (Milford, Pennsylvania)- German I, II DV High School- German III Teaching at DV since: 2001 Education: B.A. in French & German from Bucknell University; teaching certification from Susquehanna University. What made him decide to teach: I enjoy kids, I like interpersonal interaction, I have a passion for languages. Any sports/clubs/hobbies (things to do with free time): I play flute (mostly classical music), I like to read and watch movies. I like to make films when possible. Family (married/single, kids): ***SINGLE*** Favorite Music: Bach and Bob Dylan Favorite Movies: Das Boot, Wild Strawberries, Henry V, Jean De Florette/Manon Des Sources Favorite Books: The Wind in the Willows, Los Pasos Perdidos(The Lost Steps), The Witches, The Lord of the Rings. Goals Achievements reached that you are proud of: Doing volunteer work in Nicaragua in January 2000. Learning to play the flute. Learning to speak various languages (Swiss, German, French, Spanish) Piece of advice or philosophy on going through life: from "My Boat" by Raymond Carver. "Just have a good time all around. Not thinking about this or that or getting ahead or falling behind."
