Name: Mom

The parents of Al Kemp helped out your great grandparents, Terry. When they were putting together a brooder (a contraption for keeping baby chicks), Grandma Emmett cut her leg and almost severed a tendon. They had to rush her to the hospital and Al Kemp came down and babysit for us. He taught us how to draw a teddy bear on our slate with a .22 rifle bullet. I was so impressed. They were a great family and I'm sorry to hear she passed away. It's really a small world. Back in those days we lived on Howe road in a farmhouse and your Grandpa Emmett worked at Fisher Body in Lansing and rented out the farm property for crops.
