Description: This is a poem, based on the events of one of my fics, about the story of Queen Aleena from SU, and her boyfriend, my character, Masevar, when they were teens in love.

The Raven & The Dove ~Like Romeo and Juliet, the raven and the dove The star crossed lovers, forbidden to love ~The dove's courage and the raven's strength, is what we mostly see But they are together slowly dying, trying to break free ~He runs from the fate, that would tear them apart For she is so dear to him, he couldn't bear to break her heart ~Wealth and status don't matter, they both think this so Their beliefs don't count however, because the laws say no ~But where would the world be without love? they say So many wouldn't be here to see today ~Alas, the Royal laws stand firm and unyielding Appearing to be so cruel and unfeeling ~What will they do? we all must ask If they still wish to adore and sunshine bask ~Will they run away together, side by side? Leaving everything else, and swallowing their pride? ~Flying away somewhere new, so as to stay together And live in love happily ever after forever ~Or will they respect their chosen paths And be robbed forever of their happiness and laughs? ~He will become King, and rule after his mother And his love will cry, for she'll lose him to another ~Then she will have to wed to another young lad And the once lovers, will lose everything they had ~But until the time comes, to stay or to leave Lovers they will stay, and stories we will weave ~The love story of Romeo and Juliet, was a tale full of woe Let's hope for the one of our adoring birds, will not be as so
