When we last left Gierin, she'd been kidnaped and met a bachidna named Buvuu. He offered to help Gierin get home but he apparently, he hates pure-breds. So lets finish this story.
Gierin didn't know what to think of Buvuu now.
"Buvuu, was all that stuff you said true?" Gierin asked.
"I'm afraid so, I just don't like pure-breds. I did once but not anymore." Buvuu replied.
"Not all pure-breds are bad, you know? My best friends are pure hedgehogs."
"Maybe, but all I know is that I don't trust pure-breds. They've caused me nothing but pain and suffering, they care nothing for me."
"I'm sorry but I like pure-breds. They are the ones I have lived around all of my life."
"I'm sorry too. Do you still want me to take you home?"
"Yeah."
So Buvuu traveled with Gierin to get back to the west part of Angel Island.
"Hey, I smell something." Gierin said.
"What?" Buvuu asked.
"It smells like emeralds and mangos. We must be getting close."
Gierin and Buvuu kept going until they spotted the shrine for the Master emerald, the scent got stronger until even Buvuu could smell it. Gierin walked farther until she saw her home, Rouge and Knuckles were sitting on the stoop. Rouge looked up and saw Gierin standing next to Buvuu.
"Gierin!"Rouge screamed as she ran over to her daughter.
Before she knew what happened, Gierin jumped up and literally flew into Rouge's arms.
"Oh, Gierin! I've missed you so much!" Rouge said as she hugged Gierin tightly.
Buvuu couldn't believe what he was seeing.
*
Knuckles limped over to them with a crutch he had been given, Gierin gazed into the blackish purple eyes that hadn't ever expressed so much joy and happiness.
"Hey, Gierin." Knuckles said as he came to a halt.
Gierin looked at the bandage that had been wrapped around his chest, she placed her hand on Knuckles' chest, showing sympathy.
"Bad man hurt daddy." Gierin said. She had spoken to an adult for the first time.
"It's okay, I'm ganna be fine." Knuckles said, trying to reassure his daughter that he was okay.
Buvuu called Gierin over to him. When she returned, she signaled that she wanted to be picked up. Gierin took something from her pants pocket and held out an emerald to Rouge, it was cube shaped. (It's not a chaos emerald, duh.)
"Is that for me?" Rouge asked.
"Uh huh, pretty stone for mommy." Gierin replied.
"Thank you." Rouge said, taking the emerald.
Gierin took another object from her pocket, it was a ruby, she held it out to Knuckles.
"Red stone for daddy." Gierin said.
"Thanks." Knuckles replied, taking the ruby.
Gierin noticed that Buvuu was walking away.
"Buvuu!" Gierin yelled, holding her arms out in front of her.
Buvuu turned around and walked over to Gierin.
"Who's this?" Knuckles asked.
"Buvuu my friend, helped me come home." Gierin explained.
"Thank you for helping us." Rouge said to Buvuu.
"You're welcome." Buvuu said, trying to be polite.
"Hold on a sec." Rouge said as she ran into the house to get something.
Rouge returned with something for Buvuu to eat and a sapphire.
"Here, take these." Rouge said.
"Thank you." Buvuu said, he ate the food gratefully and took the sapphire.
"See, not all pure-breds bad." Gierin said.
"What?" Knuckles asked.
"Buvuu abandoned when he young, he don't like many pure-breds. Never given any kindness." Gierin explained.
"Thank you for the meal, I haven't eaten anything good in days." Buvuu said.
"You're welcome and thank you for returning Gierin to us." Rouge replied.
"Well I gotta go. Bye, Gerin."
Buvuu hugged Gierin and left.
"Don't be stranger, come visit some day!" Gierin yelled.
Gierin went inside with her mother and father, safe and loved. She was sure of that.
