| My name is Andrew and I live in Harmyres. I am 19 years old and would like to tell you about my sighting. It happened in 1997 at the Dunedin football pitches, near Westwood. I was playing football with my mates on a very clear summers night and I noticed an orangy-red ball above the flats looking uphill towards the Westwood Square, up the wee road beside Canberra Primary School. I stood and watched it for about 10-15 mins but it seemed like an eternity, I'm aware also that that is a flight path used by aeroplanes (sometimes you don't see them move because of the angles they fly in at), however, I've stood and watched planes since and it doesn't compare to what I saw , which I still fully remember. When I watch planes you see slight movements and they only take 5 mins maximum before you can tell what they are. And also this 'thing' was too close to the ground and very stationary to be a plane. The most puzzling thing about it though was the fact that I was panicking and shouting on my mates but they didn't seem interested and kept on playing which I found very strange. I know what I saw that night was NOT an aeroplane, and I, like others, would like an explanation. I have always been a half-believer, but after that night I KNOW there is something out there. | ||
