To Chelsea Gaetke who died in car accident on 9-29-02

 The flowing tides of the sea retracts against the wind

 And the time she had on earth has begun to end

 But the one thing that keeps my eyes dry

 Is in my heart I know we'll never say goodbye.

The grains of sand fall onto the ground

 Disappearing forever without a single sound

 But I know in my heart why I don't cry

 It's because I know we will never say goodbye

 The ivy creeps up a cold stone wall

 Ticking the time until the end of us all

 But one thing im sure of, is in my mind

I know we will never say goodbye

The fire grows low and the burning embers begin to fade away

 And the time marks another ending day

 And in my ear whispers a gentle sigh

 You know, we'll never say goodbye.

 A life taken from us so young, so quick

 The thought of her being gone makes me sick

But as i sit and watch out the window at the clouds that go by

I know we will never say goodbye

And the cycle of life seems to go on

And the sun rises to meet a new coming dawn

And as today comes and yesterday dies

I know we never say goodbye

 I know it hurts us all so bad

To think of the fun times that we always had

And i know its hard, oh so hard not to cry

But somehow I know we will never say goodbye

Remember me I hear a whisper say

At the end of another terrible day

And as onto the bed my weary body lie

I hear a thought of the person I love saying

We will never say goodbye
