Kade (played by Nicola Stone) isn't a people person.
She is surly, vicious, bad tempered, predantic, and has a mean streak the size of a small country. She doesn't so much speak as snarl. Kade has absolutly no social skills, and she is very aware of it. She knows that she frequently says the wrong thing. Kade is a freak, outside normal human existence. Kade has a lot of foreknowledge which puts her a few steps ahead of everyone else and a lot of power - so she's been resented and feared all her life. She has almost total control over her abilities. However, some of her powers have horrible side effects, she get to experience lots of tortures and murders without needing to be in the room. |

Kade is a practical 'believe in what she can see and touch' kind of person, it just so happens she can see and touch the supernatural. She's been involved with magic and ghosts and demons so long it's all normal to her.
Initially Kade isn't sure who's side Slater is on, she knows he that wasn't involved in the murder but takes her a while to she decide if he's one of the good guys. She also realises, before she is told, that Slater is a skilled and experienced exorcist - though she takes over anyway - and that May is new to this game. If Sam's killers had confessed Kade would have let the police and media have him. They chose not to, so she regards what she intends to do to them as their own fault. |
