The Mole II

After an interesting testimonial from Bribs, we are going one more time.

Dorothy: "Elavia!!! Why did you do it? Boy, oh, boy, I am never forming another coalition again. Not that I have many choices left, but..."

Katie: "For the first time in my life, I'm at a loss for words."

Bill: "Boy, you guys are diabolical. I am telling you."

Bribs: "Blows my freaking mind. Absolutely floors my ass, knocks me on the ground."

Al: "This game is now become one of backstabbing and shrewd play. Every exemption is like gold. Kids, if you're watching me at home, be aware, Dad may have to do some things that aren't going to be too nice."

Still in Lucca, Italy, the seven players head to lunch. They find a clue waiting for them.

Dorothy: "Seven people holding newspapers up over their faces, and underneath it said 'With love, The Mole.' And immediately, the idea is, has the Mole ever said 'With love?'"

They must find what is missing.

Many of the players' loved ones are in Lucca. Heather's boyfriend Nathan is in Lucca, as is Al's sister Janine, and Darwin's wife Lindsay, and Bill's brother-in-law Blair, along with Dorothy's mom Kathy, Bribs' mom Terri, and Katie's dad Ron. They have to win a game to be able to spend a night with them.

Anderson picks Katie to go with him. She has to pick someone to be her "eyes". If they find them, $5,000 is added to the pot and Katie will get to meet her loved one. Otherwise not. Katie chooses Heather to find her dad.

Katie: "I feel, since day one, she's been the one person I can trust. I don't know why the game would change now. I mean, I could, and that could kick me in the butt. Who knows?"

Katie gets thirty seconds to describe her father to Heather. Heather then has two minutes to pick him out of the square.

She says she has trouble seeing the people in the square, without her glasses.

Katie: "I knew that Heather wore glasses. I thought they were for reading. I didn't realize what she was going to be looking into, how far she had to look. I didn't take that into account. I just knew that I trusted Heather and in picking her, I knew she would try her hardest to find my father."

Heather: "It's not that I can't see long distance. Glasses make things a lot sharper for me. And I sort of squint and have a hard time seeing long distance."

Time is up. Anderson closes the window and Heather chooses a man in a blue shirt with sunglasses.

Anderson takes Katie down to see the chosen man, and it isn't her father.

Katie: "In my heart of hearts, I just hope it could be him walking around the corner. Of course I felt full-blown upset. I felt very threatened that maybe I suckered myself into a coalition with, maybe, the Mole."

Dorothy chooses Heather to be her eyes as well.

Dorothy: "I pick Heather for my eyes because I think that she would be able to identify my mom the best. And recalling our time in Switzerland, I vaguely recall showing her a picture of my family including my mother."

Dorothy describes her mother. Heather's two minutes begins anew. Heather sees only one Asian person in the crowd, but thinks her too young to be Dorothy's mom.

Heather: "Given the fact that she said 'Oh, there can't be that many Asian people out there,' she didn't fully describe her."

Time is up. Heather chooses a woman in a green vest, who is obviously not Dorothy's mother, since she's Italian.

Heather: "I don't recall seeing a picture of Dorothy's mom. I don't remember it at all. I guess that's why she picked me, though, and so I feel really bad."

Dorothy: "I think Heather is playing the naive card a little too much. That's always suspicious in a game like this."

Dorothy and Katie figure out the meaning of the photo. It is their relatives holding the newspapers in front of their faces.

Katie: "I think it was helpful to know that I wasn't the only one that doesn't have a loved one that they don't get to see."

Bribs picks Darwin as his eyes.

Bribs describes his mother to Darwin. Darwin's time begins. He picks rather quickly, choosing a woman in a blue shirt and khaki shorts.

It is Bribs' mother.

Katie calls to a lonely looking dog, who vomits on the ground in front of her.

Bribs apologizes to the other two.

It is Bill's turn. He describes his brother-in-law to Darwin, his eyes. They talk it out, and Darwin selects the gentleman in the blue shirt smoking a cigarette.

The man comes around the corner. It is Bill's brother-in-law.

Bill bemoans the fact that his wife isn't there.

Bill: "It was a shock to me, I've got to tell you. When Anderson announced 'Your loved one...', and I'm ready for him to say Shirley, 'Your brother-in-law Blair'. And I was like 'Brother-in-law Blair?!?!?!?!' In the first place, he's only my liked one, not my loved one, and in the second place I was really distraught that my wife wasn't here until I found out the circumstances. I'm still distraught, but that's okay."

It is now Bribs' turn to search for Al's sister. He describes her sister. Bribs looks. Time is up, and he chooses a girl in a blue top.

She comes around, and it is not Al's sister.

Al: "Was there sincerity from Bribs when he didn't pick Janine? Yeah, I think to some degree there was. I think that he would have been as equally upset if he hadn't seen his loved one. It's hard to tell, 'cuz you didn't really get to see what was going on."

Darwin describes his wife to Bribs. He chooses a woman with a blue shirt and handbag.

She comes around. It is Darwin's wife.

Heather chooses Bribs to locate her boyfriend.

Heather: "Bribs and I have had really long talks about Nathan and his ex-girlfriend and their relationships and I think I showed the picture to him several times. I just feel most confident in Bribs."

Bribs: "Heather's second on my suspect list. She told me yesterday 'I want you to stick around until the end, so I'm telling you, don't vote for me."

Bribs is the eyes for the third time. Heather describes her boyfriend.

Bribs chooses a man in a blue shirt. Bribs teases Heather about what he's doing out there.

He comes around, and it is her boyfriend.

Four relatives were found, gaining $20,000 for the pot.

TEST PASSED - +$20,000

TOTAL - $286,000

Bill: "Dorothy vents very little emotion. Katie, of course, cried copious tears, which is sort of the normal state of affairs for Katie. Al was angry. If that had been his wife back there instead of his sister, he may have just walked around the corner anyway and said 'The hell with it. I'm outta here. I'm going to go see my wife."

Heather and Nathan are shown taking a romantic Italian night in. Suddenly, Nathan proposes marriage to Heather. She seems to accept.

How sweet and utterly pointless of the game.

The players who were unable to visit with their loved ones the past day get a second chance. The players can earn two days with their loved one in this next game.

The game is also worth a whopping $70,000.

They asked the loved ones a simple question: Will you bungee jump?

If their action matches the loved ones' prediction, they win $10,000 and two days with the loved one.

Dorothy struggles with what her mom had predicted.

Heather thinks Nathan thought she would jump. And she does.

They reveal Nathan's prediction. He predicted she would. $10,000 won.

Darwin takes the 170 foot plunge. His wife said he would jump. $10,000 won again.

Al is a little pensive about his choice. He decides to take the jump. His sister said he would jump. $10,000 won again.

Bill: "I got to tell you, I do feel like I'm in an older generation right now. I've always wanted to bungee jump. I guess I've never really quite worked up the nerve to actually go do it."

He goes up and takes the plunge.

His brother-in-law said he'd jump. $10,000 won again.

Bribs takes the drop too. His mother had no hesitation about saying he would jump. Another $10,000.

Dorothy thinks her mom said she wouldn't jump, so she doesn't. Her mom predicted that she would jump. No money, but she does get five minutes with her mom.

Dorothy: "Mom, what made you ever think I would want to bungee jump?"

"I'm sorry to the rest of the players. Yes, I know I'm an idiot. I screw up the easiest games."

Katie is the last player. She will jump.

Katie: "I've been through a lot in my life. I can get through this. I can get through this."

Scared to death, Katie does the jump.

Her father's prediction was that she would jump. $10,000.

TEST PASSED - +$60,000

TOTAL - $346,000

Al: "Having Janine here, it makes me feel better about the game, because I was getting to a point where the strain of being away from the ones I care so much about was starting to weigh on me a little bit. You start thinking more and more about home. Especially, you know, when you get further in the game and all the stress of that and it's like 'I don't need to be here. I need to be home,' and it reminds me that there is a home life, and she coming here, it puts me at ease. It's like another jump start."

Dorothy: "I was definitely really disappointed not to be able to see my mom but I think it was interesting for me to able to observe other people interacting with the people they're probably most natural around."

Janine thinks Al could be the Mole.

As does Blair of Bill.

Lindsay doesn't think Darwin is the Mole.

Nor does Ron of Katie.

Dorothy: "I'm obviously not the Mole, 'cuz I idiotically screw up every single game. Not the Mole."

Now Blair thinks Bill isn't the Mole.

Nathan says he's not surprised Heather is still in the game.

It is time now for the quiz.

1. According to the Mole, what is their best quality?

Dorothy: "I think Bill could be the Mole. For the reason that he's very quiet. He doesn't offer very much. He's always just kind of sitting on the outskirts and observing."

2. How many times did the Mole incorrectly identify someone's loved one in relative disguise?

Bill: "The Mole has got to make mistakes. That's the nature of the Mole. That's the nature of the game. I can't ignore Heather. I just cannot rule her out, and she wears the devil out of me."

3. In the last two games, how many times was the Mole succesful in earning the opportunity to see their loved one?

4. What color shirt or top was the Mole's loved one wearing during relative disguise?

5. What relationship is the Mole's loved one to them?

Dorothy: "I think Bribs could be the Mole as well. He is very much the player. He has mentioned numerous times 'Oh, I'm so naive, I'm so naive.' I don't know, that's just fishy to me."

Bribs: "I'm not a naive person. I'm an intelligent person. I know the world, but playing this game, I'm naive."

6. In what position did the Mole choose their 'eyes' in relative disguise?

7. Did the Mole jump during relative bungee?

Al: "That one was a little curious, 'cuz Dorothy was the only one who didn't get to see her mom. But what a great idea, to, like, sacrifice that, knowing you'll see them on the back end. So it makes it look like a personal hit, but at the same time, you took a hit from the pot. That would be a nice, smooth move."

8. Did the Mole receive a new journal yesterday?

9. According to what the Mole said at dinner tonight, how long has the Mole been together with their significant other?

10. Who is the Mole?

The seven players and six loved ones gather for the execution. Tonight there is another tie on the execution quiz.

Click on the pictures below. If a green thumbprint appears, that player is still in the game. If a red thumbprint appears, that player has been executed and must leave the game immediately.
