Emma Frost, aka White Queen

WHITE QUEEN: Why you arrogant... self-righteous... doubting... arrogant... BANSHEE: Ye already said "arrogant"... WHITE QUEEN: Shut up.

The Basics

According to Marvel, Emma is 5'10. Waitasec, Bobby's 5'8. Doesn't it show Emma as being, like, six inches SHORTER than Bobby?! Yet another X-plothole. There are a lot of them, it seems. So Emma has blonde hair and blue eyes, though she is sometimes shown as having white hair. I think that the comic artists tried her out with white hair, since it would kinda fit her better, but decided it made her too much like Storm. In fact, I think that before she called herself White Queen, she was known as Storm. Coincidence? I think not. So anyway, Emma is a psychic. That's pretty much it. But she can do this thing that I don't think I've seen another psychic do, which is a thing called swapping (I don't know if it has an official name-- that's just what I call it), where she puts her mind in another person's body and vica-versa. She also gets to use their powers, which leads to an interesting and very involved story having to do with Bobby (see below, Emma and Bobby).

Emma's Style (and a bit of her history)

Emma is rarely (if ever) seen wearing anything but a white corset, white panties, and white boots that usually reach mid-thigh. She sometimes also bedecks herself with a white cape or robe, and/or white whip or riding crop. One has to wonder, why the hell is she never cold? Apparently, she wears these kinds of clothes (if you could call them that-- I think the purpose of clothes is to give you some modesty and keep you warm, but Emma's little ensamble does neither) to distract male enemies, and possibly some female enemies as well, if you know what I mean. *nudge nudge, wink wink* Personally, I think she wears them 'cause she wants to get some from people like Bobby and Sean Cassidy. Interestingly enough, she's the only X-Person ever known to regularly buy her uniforms (and all her other clothes, apparently) at Victoria's Secret. While I do like the corset, wearing the same thing every day makes her seem too much like a cartoon character off of Nickelodeon, rather than a comic book character from a respectable, classic series. On the plus side, she doesn't have to spend an hour picking out what to wear each day.

Emma and Bobby

Personally, I think Emma and Bobby Drake would have made an absolutely ADORABLE couple. They never really were a couple, but they still would have been cute together. But there was one little detail that might have made the relationship a little awkward. Emma controlled Bobby's mind. Not all the time, just once. You see, at the time, Em was teaching some school for evil mutant kids (NOT GenX!), and Bobby wasn't controlling his powers too well. Then Emma's students all got killed and she went into a coma, and Xavier found her. Then Sabertooth did something crazy, and Bobby and Em got electrocuted, and she woke up in his body. They argued a lot and ran around making Bobby look like a schizophrenic, and she even tried to commit suicide while in his body. Dispite popular believe, Emma did NOT enter his mind on purpose or perform any sort of "mind-rape", whatever the hell that is, though it sounds pretty sick. Eventually, though, Xavier got everything back in order, but Bobby and Emma didn't like eachother too much because Emma was better at controlling Bobby's powers than he was. A LOT better. And they both knew it. So then Emma goes to teach Generation X and Bobby goes on being a superhero and everything is generally fine-n-dandy. That is, until Bobby gets his chest blown off while he was in ice form. He goes crawling back to Em for help, and she can't possibly refuse an adorable face like his. And now they're kinda half friends, half enemies, half lovers. Wait, that doesn't make sense... oh well.
