Chapter Twelve

The guys had just realized that Di had conked out and Raph is just picking her up when she shudders violently.

Raph has to tighten his grip so he wouldn't drop her.

What the hell...?He feels her warm up in his arms, and start trembling.

Splinter and Leo had both gone to bed and Donnie is about to fallow them when he sees what's happening.

He joins Mike and Raph to look at her.

Raph puts a gentle hand out and touches her face. He can actually feel her cooling down.

He gently lies her down on the couch, which he and the others had vacated when they saw that she had fallen asleep.

He kneels by her side and starts to gently pat her cheek.

"Diana, wake up," he tells her.

No response. He starts to get scared, though he would never admit it.

What was that? Why won't she wake up?

He starts to gently shake her, afraid of what might be happening, fearful that their enemy might be hurting her.

When she opens her eyes and sees Raph and the others looking at her with such concern, she wraps her arms around Raph and gives him as big a hug as she can.

He wraps his arms around her and returns the hug as best he can.

After a little bit, he realizes that not only are Mike and Don snickering their heads off, but also that he has one of his arms over the bandage on Diana's back.

He jerks back, thinking that he's hurting her and she looks at him with a puzzled expression. Then her eyes widen as she realizes that she isn't feeling any pain.

She takes the bandage off of her shoulder and stares in amazement at the smooth skin that's exposed.

"Raph, could you check my back and see if the wound is still there? I don't feel any pain, but still..." Diana asks.

She scoots forward a little and turns so her back is to Raph. She feels him pull the back of her shirt up and gently remove the bandage.

Raph gasps and stares at the spot where the wound should be. He reaches out and runs his fingers over the skin.

"Well?" Diana asks.

"It's gone! No scar, not that I can see or feel at the least. Nothing that would show that you even had an injury," Raph tells her, somewhat in shock.

After Mike and Don see Diana's lack of injury, there's a moment of stunned silence.

"Woah," Mike says, breaking the silence, "Leo and Splinter will probably wanna know about this. I'll go get 'em."

Diana is about to object, on the grounds that she doesn't want to wake Leo and Splinter when Don says, "This might be important, it probably is, those wounds you had weren't going to disappear over night."

Then Raph adds, "Yeah, and you wouldn't have to repeat this story over and over again, you can get us all in one shot."

"Heh, I'm getting that easy to read, 'eh?" Diana asks, somewhat amused, despite the strange situation.

With that, Mikey gets Splinter and Leo.

A few minutes later, Mike returns with his brother and their sensei, both very tired looking.

Diana scoots closer to Raph, who doesn't argue with this in the least, to make room for Leo, who sits down next to her, and Splinter sits in his favorite chair.

"What happened that you had to send Mikey to wake us?" Leo asks, yawning.

Splinter sees the bandages on the table in a pile and then he sees Diana's shoulder.

The skin is smooth, there is no sign of it ever being broken. Where did the wound go? I saw it with my own eyes!

"I suspect that Diana has a story to tell us," he tells his sons.

Diana sighs and looks at the others, she almost laughs when she sees Leo sitting next to her with his jaw dropped. He's just noticed her shoulder.

Raph does chuckle and, with a wicked grin on his face, he reaches over Diana and closes Leo's mouth.

"Hey, you'll start drooling," Raph snickers.

"Yeah, well, um..." Leo says articulately, and shoots a dirty look at Raph.

"I bet you're all wondering what happened to make all my wounds go away," Diana says, trying to avert a fight that she would literally be in the middle of.

There are nods all around.

"Well, I had another dream..." she starts.

"We got a real dreamer here, her subconscious is more active than her conscious!' Mikey comments.

Diana gets up, whacks Mikey with a pillow and goes back to her spot on the couch before telling them all about her most recent dream.

It looks like a healer is going to need a healer, the Dark Master thinks.

He was using this man's power to heal Diana through her dream and try to bribe her. When she refused, he had lashed out at whoever was closest, and it just happened to be the healer.

This man is one of the most powerful healers he has, but the man IS a healer and not a warrior. It takes just that one strike and he's out for the count.

The Master motions with his hand for the healer to be taken to another healer.

This girl's spirit is very strong. Never before have I had so much difficulty in getting possession of someone.

He leans back in his throne and again tries to think of a way to get her.

Diana and Raph are out to pick a pizza up. Truth be told, Diana was getting cabin fever, or as Mikey put it she was going "sewer stir-crazy", and going out to pick up some 'za with Raph seems like a good cure.

She raises an eyebrow when she sees the pizza place they're headed to.

"Roy's Pizza?" she asks, not expecting to see this place.

"Yeah, better'n Domino's," Raph answeres, "anyway, we get a discount here. You know about Keno?"

"Oh yeah," Di answeres, she'd forgotten about him, "I know about him. You ever get back at 'im for stomping on yer foot like that?"

She can see his grin under his hat. "Yep" is the simple answer.

She's just about to make another comment when she has to step aside hastily so as not to collide with a red and white jacketed figure.

"Oh, geeze, I'm sorry," the form says as it turns.

Diana grins, "Hey, no problem, Keno."

"Uh...yeah...um do I know you?" Keno asks, confused.

Raph mutters so only Diana can hear, "Uh oh, he's tryin' to pick you up." She can hear the teasing in his voice.

She resists the urge to elbow him and grins wider, "Nope, but I do know you."

Keno's eyebrows draw together.

Is the Foot back? Is she one of them? He asks himself. She moves like a martial artist...or a dancer.

He can't see her body under the long jacket she's wearing, but he can bet it's pretty well muscled.

Just then he hears a familiar snicker coming from behind his tormentress.

"Raph? Did you put her up to this?" He asks the disguised turtle who had come up beside the girl.

"Nope, but I was wondering when you'd stop flirting and notice me."

They all start walking into the pizza place.

"Huh, the Eagles, nice," Di says, commenting on the music playing over the speakers inside.

"Take It Easy", oh, I wish I could, she thinks to herself as Raph explains to Keno who she was.

After getting their pizza, they start going back to the lair. Raph and Diana are each carrying one 'za and Keno's carrying two.

"Man...why do I have to carry two pizzas and you two only get to carry one each?" Keno complains.

Raph answeres, "Yer a pizza delivery boy, what's you expect?"

As they walk down the street to the sewer entrance that the guys sometimes use, Diana feels Keno's eyes on her. He's joining them, seeing as he was just getting off his shift when the two of them showed up.

She looks at him and raises an eyebrow, "What, do I have something on me?" she asks.

Keno shakes his head. "I'm still trying to figure out how you know who I am," he replies.

Diana looks at Raph, and the look that he returned says, "We'll tell him when we get back to the lair."

Or maybe that's just my newfound telepathic stuff, I dunno.

"We'll tell you when yer older, kid," Raph tells him.

Keno makes a face at them both.

Diana grins and follows Raph into the sewer.
