A few weeks later, Zoi gave birth to two healthy baby boys and a healthy baby girl, and we were all recovering very well from our encounter with the shadow, though I still shudder when I relieve those events.
Well, it looks like everything's turned out all hunky dory after all, I think to myself as Neph and I stroll down the pathway my mother and I used to travel.
I twine my fingers with his, thinking, Zoi and Kunz have four beautiful children, five if you count Dia, TN and Don have each other, same with Jae and Diana, and Leo and Venus, Mikey and Raph will find their loves. Everything has turned out for the best.
Even if the FOH is still out there, I'm still pretty content with the present, even if the future may not be that bright...
"M-chan?" Neph asks softly, breaking me out of my reverie.
"Hai?"
I smile gently at him.
"I...have a question for you," he says, looking somewhat nervous for the first time ever since I met him.
I hope he's ok...it's not another attack I hope...
"Hai? What is it?"
He gulps and goes down on one knee, taking a velvet box out, opening it and holding it up to me, gazing at me with those amazing blue eyes of his.
Inside the box is one of the most amazingly beautiful diamond rings I've ever seen in my life.
"I love you with all of my heart, M-chan, and would be overjoyed if....you would agree to be my wife. Will you marry me?"
Time freezes and I feel every eye in the park fall upon me.
After a few moments of stunned silence, I answer.
"Oh, love...yes! I'll marry you!!"
A cheer goes up as Neph slips the ring onto my finger, then sweeps me into a kiss to top all kisses.
As we leave the park after numerous congradulationses, I notice a mother and daughter sitting in the very spot that my mom and I used to occupy.
I smile, almost feeling my mother's joy and approval.
The future is
looking up after all, I think to myself, knowing my mom is always with me,
and that I never have to be alone or without love ever again.
