So, I didn't get ABC when this aired. I guess I watched it on a Canadian channtel that didn't come in very well. And I don't recall how much of the show I ever saw, so I certainly don't remember it well, now. Even back then, I think I found it a bit corny or whatever... I might like to catch reruns now, but I'm not sure if I'd like it. I mean, I know I kind of liked it, back in the day. And I think it was popular with viewers and critics. Anyway, in case you don't know, it was about this genius teenage doctor named Doogie Howser (played by Neil Patrick Harris, who would later go on to do other shows I liked, including Stark Raving Mad and more importantly, How I Met Your Mother). Doogie had lots to deal with, including typical teenage stuff, as well as his work as a surgeon, and of course the fact that because of his age, he didn't always get the respect he deserved. He had a best friend named Vinnie Delpino (who I always thought was fairly cool). And a girlfriend named Wanda (who we liked). And every episode ended with Doogie typing a journal entry on his computer. That's pretty much all I remember, but the series inspired any number of parodies and jokes.
