Somewhat overrated. I mostly liked it, though. It starred comedian Jerry Seinfeld as comedian Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Michael Richards as Kramer, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine Benes. Of course there were tons of secondary or recurring characters. Anyway, it's supposed to be a show about nothing. Personally I think there are a hell of a lot of shows about nothing, but whatever. I wish I could think what to say about it, except I thought the main characters were all pretty crazy and dysfunctional. But it really was pretty funny... just not nearly as good, IMHO, as so many people seem to think. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Maybe the fact that I can't think of much of anything to say about it really means it was about nothing, but then again there are other shows that aren't about nothing that I can't think of anything to say about. I dunno. Four friends, who don't always seem to like each other much. Or much of anything. All cynical and self-absorbed and stuff. Living in New York. The plots could be kind of nuts and everything was ever-so-slightly hyperreal. Things happened that would never likely happen in real life, but also the simplest things that happen in real life every day... just a bit funnier on the show. Yada yada yada....
