Genre TV movies I want to see

Alice in Wonderland, on PBS
Great but Forgotten; IMDb; TV.com; Wikipedia

I've seen at least a few adaptations of the books, but not this one (a 1983 episode of Great Performances). I'm basically interested in it because of the review on Great but Forgotten.

Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman, on HBO
IMDb; TV Tango; TV Tropes; Wikipedia

Never saw it, but I'd rather like to. But I should probably see the 1958 film before this 1993 TV movie. I guess. I dunno, I might not like either of them.

Babylon 5, on TNT
There are five TV movies set in the world of the series Babylon 5 (plus one more that came before the series, and served as a pilot). I saw all of them, but I need to watch them again and write reviews of each one.

Battlestar Galactica, on Syfy
There was a miniseries that served as the pilot for the series Battlestar Galactica, which I saw, but I don't know if I ever care to see it again. And even if I did, I don't know if I'd bother writing a review of it. But there was also a TV movie called "Razor," which I'm sure I saw but didn't review. I should probably watch it again someday and do that. And there was a web series called "Blood & Chrome," which subsequently aired as a TV movie. I haven't seen that, but I should. And there was another TV movie called "The Plan," which I've never seen.

The Last Dragonslayer, on Sky One
IMDb; TV Tropes; Wikipedia

This aired in 2016, but I guess I first heard of it in 2020. I don't really know anything about it, but it seems like it might be fun to check out someday.

The Lathe of Heaven, on PBS
IMDb; Thirteen; TV Tropes; Wikipedia

Based on a novel by Ursula K. Le Guin, which I haven't read. I can't imagine I was aware of this when it first aired in 1980, but I must have heard of it years later, either when it was rereleased in 2000, or when there was a 2002 remake on A&E. However, I'm fairly sure I never saw either film. I had forgotten its existence until searching the web for TV movie titles in 2014. But it definitely sounds like something I'd like to see... and maybe learn that I had seen this (or the remake) before. I dunno.

Painkiller Jane, on Sci-Fi Channel
IMDb; TV.com; TV Tango; TV Tropes; Wikipedia

This is based on a comic book series that I haven't read. The movie came out in 2005, and in 2007 it spawned a TV series that lasted one season. I haven't seen any of those things, and I don't remember whether at the time it was a decision I made not to watch the movie, because I thought I wouldn't like it, or whether I did want to see it, but didn't get the chance. Either way, I'm now kind of thinking I'd like to check out the movie someday, and then if I like it, decide whether I want to try to watch the series or not. (Though apparently, the series is very different from the movie, and both are different from the comics.)

Peter Pan, on NBC
IMDb; TV Tropes; Wikipedia

In 1955, NBC famously broadcast a live performance of this stage musical, starring Mary Martin. Of course that was twenty years before I was born, but I've long had some interest in seeing this, since I'm a fan of various other adaptations of the story. NBC broadcast other live stagings of the musical in 1956 and 1960, with the latter staging being the one that's available on video/DVD.

Purgatory, on TNT
IMDb; TNT; TV Tango; TV Tropes; Wikipedia

I remember wanting to see this, when it first aired in 1999. And I probably did, but I'm not quite sure. I'd definitely like to see it (again) sometime, though.

The Rocket Boy (Canada)
IMDb; TV Tropes

I'm not sure what network this aired on, or even what year, or even if it was a movie. Some sites (like the ones I link to above) say it came out in 1989. Others say 1984, or 1986. Some people refer to it as a series, or a miniseries. I get the feeling there were several episodes that were edited into a movie (probably in 1989), which is almost certainly what I saw. Anyway, I think I probably watched it late one night on a channel that always came in fuzzy at my house (probably CTV), though that may not be the original network. Dave Thomas of SCTV played a sci-fi superhero called Rocket Boy, who had to battle a villain called Hawkhead. I remember finding it really amusing, and ever since then I've wished I could see it again. But it doesn't seem to be available anywhere, unless you can find a bootleg. Which is a damn shame. I would so love to get this on DVD.

Sabrina Goes to Rome, on ABC
IMDb; TV Tango; TV Tropes; Wikipedia

This aired in 1998 as an episode of The Wonderful World of Disney, during season 3 of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. I don't think I ever saw it, but I'd like to.

Sharknado, on Syfy
Amazon; The Asylum; A.V. Club; Dread Central; iHorror; IMDb; Made for TV Movie Wiki; Rotten Tomatoes; Syfy; TV.com; TV Tango; TV Tropes; Wikipedia

Syfy (and Sci-Fi Channel before it) has a long history of airing made-for-television B, C, or Z-movies. (I'll leave it up to each viewer to decide which category is the best description of their TV movies; it's all the same to me.) Mostly these are movies it would never even seriously occur to me to check out, and "Sharknado" is no different. (Of course, I didn't have access to Syfy when this movie first aired, in 2013, but even if I had, I'm certain I wouldn't have watched it.) But I will say the title is amusing. Anyway, it became super popular for reasons I'm not clear on. And each year since then, there has been a sequel. (I'm typing this in 2015, so that means there are three movies in the series so far, and there's going to be another one). For what seems nearly a decade, I've remained steadfast in my disinterest in ever seeing the movie. (Though of course as of this writing it's only been two years; it's just hard now to imagine a time when this movie didn't exist.) And I'm starting to relent... okay, I admit it: I want to see this movie someday. I have no idea if or when I actually will, and it's basically at the bottom of my list, as far as degree of interest is concerned. But I guess... it could be fun. Maybe. We'll see.

White Dwarf, on FOX
IMDb; Sonar Entertainment; TV Tango; TV Tropes; Wikipedia

I'm fairly sure I was aware of this when it first aired in 1995, but I didn't get to see it, because I didn't get FOX at the time. I've always wanted to see it, though.
