So, what exactly do I mean by "campy"? You might want to take a glance at Wikipedia, though I'm not sure my notion of camp is going to be exactly the same. In fact I'm not entirely sure what I mean. I think some shows are intentionally campy, tongue-in-cheek, over-the-top. Whatever. Others I think are probably unintentionally campy. And whether it's intentional or not, such shows can have genuine humor as well as ironic humor, and can also have some serious stories. I will say it's interesting to me that most of the series I include in this category are "genre" shows... fantasy, sci-fi, adventure, super heroes... Well, there are probably shows in other categories that could just as well fit here, but I take them a bit more seriously than these shows. Then again, there's nothing wrong with taking any of these shows a bit seriously, at times. *shrug* But not too seriously. Because they can all be silly, even ridiculous, and kinda cheesy. And... I dunno what else to tell you. But camp is fun.
