Ah yes, Saturday night Adult Swim. Three hours of anime; nothing on cable television delights me more. And when I hear that first robotic warning message, any sleepiness disappears to ensure that I may view all I wish. Enough about me, though, it’s time to talk about the shows. Yes, reviews, but I’ll try my best to make them fun, that is if I can be un-lazy…
First off, Yu Yu Hakusho. Now I had heard of YYH before, but never watched it, so it was a real joy to me when I heard it was going to be part of the line-up. Then the first episode aired. Overall I was quite pleased, except for the misspelling of Keiko, the voices kinda ticked me a little bit, and then there was the dubbing company… funimation. I nearly died when I saw that. My first thoughts, “oh god, another DBZ horror”. To the best of my knowledge, though, it’s been okay, but then again I have nothing to compare it to. Overall, I like YYH, even thought it’s predictable, it’s still quite fun.
Next in the line-up, Cowboy Bebop. When this first aired as part of the original Adult Swim, I liked it, that is until the episode, “Ballad of Fallen Angels” after which I adored the series. Since then I have been a huge Bebop fan. It’s great all around. And the last episode, so beautiful and sad. Just so great, what more can I say?
Then we have Pilot Candidate, Candidate for Goddess, Megami Kohousei, whatever you want to call it, it’s wonderful in my opinion. Truth be told, it’s probably my favorite in the line-up. (Bebop would by my favorite has I not already seen it before.) It’s just so beautiful. Having Tai’s voice actor doing Zero’s voice kinda throws me off, but I’m dealing. It also has a catgirl, and what can be bad about a series with a catgirl? I liked this series from the beginning, but I can’t really figure out why, I just do.
What is there to say about Gundam 0083? Frankly, I don’t really like it. Sorry to those that do, but I don’t. There’s no real bishonen! I also don’t really like much that draws girls’ hair as a blob with a few lines. And that’s all I have to say about that.
I’ll combine Outlaw Star and Tenchi Muyo since they’ve already been on for a while, on second though, why do I need to review them? So I won’t. I’ll just say that Tenchi is fun and Outlaw star has one awesome theme song.
This concludes my review.
I hope you LOVED it!
