Phenomena: 10:29 pm Splash near the breast of the dam

10:31 pm Second Splash about 10 feet away from where we are standing.
11:48 pm Greenish colored light seen over the East Side of the lake.
All night we experienced equipment problems. Jason's flashlight stopped working upon arrival, Jason's recorder did not record anything from 10:22-10:33 pm (the batteries were brand new, the tape was brand new, and he hit record), Jason's camera malfunctioned once.
Summation: At 10:22 pm on May 13 Josie, Jason, and Shane arrived at Hemlock Lake and began investigating the site. As soon as he got out of the car, Jason had problems with his flashlight. The light was not coming on at all. The problem was quickly fixed, and the team headed South down a gravel road toward the breast of the dam. At 10:29 pm, the team heard a splash near the breast of the dam. The splash was not loud, possibly a large fish or a rock rolling into the water. One minute later, the temperature was recorded at 49.1 degrees, which had fallen from 50.4 degrees a minute and a half earlier. At 10:31 pm, a second splash was heard about 10 feet from where Jason, Shane and Josie were standing, this time much louder. This was certainly larger than a fish (unless whales have invaded Hemlock Lake), sounded more like a person jumping in. At this point, all three investigators decided that, due to equipment problems and potentially dangerous phenomena, it was time to call it a night and head back to the car. When the team reached the parking lot again, Josie and Jason took some pictures looking down the trail. A ball of light is clearly visible in two of the photos. The team left the East Side of the lake at 10:33 pm. Upon checking his tape, Jason found that it had not recorded any of the events that had occured that night.
The team returned to Hemlock Lake at 11:47 pm of the same night. Josie spotted a greenish colored light across the lake on the East Side, very similar to the greenish orb Josie described seeing a few years earlier while hanging out there. The light was unable to be photographed due to a mist over the center of the lake. The team took some photos and then left the site at 11:54 pm.
