Demon Child

How am I glutted with conceit of this!
Shall I make spirits fetch me what I please,
Resolve me of all ambiguities,
Perform what desperate enterprise I will?

Name: Akuma Slade Braeden.

Meaning: Demon child of the dark valley. (Akuma=demon, Slade=Child of the Valley, Braeden=From the Dark Valley)

Birthdate: August 31st

Appearance: She has long blood red hair with stands of shimmering silver running down it. She wears it in an interesting style. She pulls most of it back into a ponytail, letting shorter stands fall to the sides, and then brains the rest of it into 13 braids, which she weaves into a crown when she wants to dress up. She wears dark colored dresses and sometimes wears pants and silken shirts, but that's usually for school. She likes shoes that make her look tall, even though she is a striking beauty at 5’11”. She is thin and has a pale complexion that contrasts her darker apparel and style, which adds more to her striking appearance. She likes dark eye and lip color (black eye shadow and maroon lip rouge would be a winning combination). She has bright red cat-like eyes, with the pupils to match.

Birth Place: She was born in Concord.

Race: Human

Current Residence: In the richer area of Concord, in her parents villa where she has lived all of her life.

Zodiac Sign: Virgo

Age: 17

Blood type O+

History: She had been granted the “gift” or being able to see demons since a young age. She had strong magical potential and was very bright. She would often talk to her demon friends, which worried her parents. The demons would tell her the bad things that were going to happen (like a section of the slums would burn down and she would have known that it was going to happen already). When she told her parents about things like this, they started to despise and fear her gift. They told her not to use it and would yell and scold her. She became very lonely and sought an escape from all the pain. The leader of the demons in her mind, Mazoku, told her to go to the university so that she could learn all about magic and demons. However, she was so young at the time that it seemed impossible. She studied very hard and requested to take her examinations one after another. Long study sessions and good memory helped her skip grades at a time. Her dream was so close to coming true. But when she asked her parents if she could apply to the university and told them what courses she wanted, they were very reluctant. The university was also very reluctant to have a young student in their student body. Her parents gave in because they liked the attention having such a smart daughter brought them. The university let her in on the condition that she had to keep her grades at average and above to stay and if they went down to average, she would be monitored carefully. She went to the school, excelling in every class except “Prevention from the Black Arts”, which she was constantly studying for to keep her above average grade. She has had to deal with being shunned by everyone in her life: her family, her schoolmates, and sometimes her teachers. She became close to the demons and the snakes because they never shunned her. (see favorite animal)

Personality: She has a very mysterious, lonesome air about her. She sits by herself in school. She is studious and usually very kind, unless Mazoku warns her to be cautious of a certain person. She wants to fit in somewhere and tries as hard as she can, which is not much because the constant ridicule made her very nervous of talking to strangers. She is very passive in her own unique way. Some boys would secretly follow her around because she was just so unusual that she tickled their fancy. She is flattered by that kind of admiration but finds it very hard to believe that anyone could like her. A simple compliment can make her day. Mazoku sometimes will make jokes and showers her with praise, which he knows makes her feel better. However, he also knows how to put her back in her place with barely a spoken word. She firmly believes in being herself and not changing for anyone, even though it has caused her a lot of pain.
