Light The Fire is a Christian ministry designed for fun and fellowship for everyone! Our main purpose is to promote fellowship and to build relationships in a fun and safe environment. Making friends is what Light The Fire is all about.

A common ground is a good place to start building friendships. We use rockets as that common ground. Anyone is welcome to participate in our workshops and launches. Building Relationships

Light the Fire is a great way to spend time with your friends. It can also be a great way to meet new friends or spend the afternoon doing a fun activity with your kids. If you think you would like to be a part of the LTF Team just send us an email. There are always areas where you can help out, and serve the Lord in doing so, not to mention having a great time doing it.

This isn't a place where you will find heavy competition to see who has the best stuff. It is a time of encouragement and learning as well as building lasting friendships. It has already been a life changing experience for some people. Light the Fire isn't just about rockets, it's about people and representing the Lord while building those relationships. Rockets are just the tools.
 

We currently have 8 launch pads with all the equipment that is needed to launch most rockets. We can launch small model rockets, up to some of the high power rockets. Oh yeah, you get to launch your own rocket! You get to build your own rocket, set it up on the launch pad, and hit the launch button.

Our launch site is great! It is located behind Mt. Spokane Church. There are good restroom facilities so anyone can come out for the afternoon.

Most of the rockets we build are small, but we do get into some of the bigger rockets. Most of our launches are Sunday afternoons after church, around 1:00 pm. What an awesome church! I don't know of any other place where you can go to church, then go out the back door for a big potluck-BBQ-rocket-launch!

Learning Together

LTF organizes a rocket building workshop at least once a year. The rockets are easy to build and cost from $5 on up. These rockets take about three hours to build from start to finish. Kids from 9 to 90 have a great time. Check the Calendar page for information about upcoming workshops. The workshops are held at Mt. Spokane Church.
