Blessings or Snow?
Having difficulty making a decision on whether to go somewhere when I wasnt feeling
well, God helped me to make my decision . . . with a sudden change in the weather!
Standing by a window after praying, I looked outside to see beautiful snowflakes falling
from the sky! The first thing I said was, Look! Its a blessing in
disguise! My 4-year-old son, Jeffrey said, No Mom, thats SNOW in d
skies!

On Fire for the Lord!
The preacher was wired for sound with a lapel mike, and as he preached, he moved briskly
about the platform, jerking the mike cord as he went. Then he moved to one side, getting
wound up in the cord and nearly tripping before jerking it again. After several circles
and jerks, a little girl in the third pew leaned toward her mother and whispered, If
he gets loose, will he hurt us?!

Pray for Me!
One Sunday in a Midwest city, a young child was acting up during the morning
worship hour. The parents did their best to maintain some sense of order in the pew but
were losing the battle. Finally, the father picked the little fellow up and walked sternly
up the aisle on his way out. Just before reaching the safety of the foyer, the little one
called loudly to the congregation, Pray for me! Pray for me!

Future Missionary?
My son, 6 at the time, had just discovered the world of e-mail. We had been studying
missionaries in Sunday School and he decided that he wanted to be one. He was very
enthusiastic about this. When he told me that he wanted to be a missionary to Africa, I
told him that I was thrilled. Knowing that my son doesn't like being away from home, I
asked him if he knew that being a missionary to Africa meant he had to GO to Africa. He
looked at me just as serious as he could be and said, "But Mom, can't I just e-mail
them?"

Hushers!
Six-year old Angie and her four-year old brother Joel were sitting together in church.
Joel giggled, sang and talked out loud. Finally, his big sister had enough. Angie
whispered, Youre not supposed to talk out loud in
church! Why? Whos going to stop me? Joel asked. Angie pointed to
the back of the church and said, See those two men standing by the door? They
re hushers.

A Sunday school teacher asked her little children, as they were on the way to church
service, And why is it necessary to be quiet in church? One bright little girl
replied, Because people are sleeping!

Which Commandment Was That Again?
A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her 5- and 6-year-olds.
After explaining the commandment to honor thy father and thy mother, she asked, "Is
there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters? "Without
missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of
a family) answered, "Thou shall not kill!"

History in the Bible!
A little boy opened the big and old family Bible with fascination, looking at the old
pages as he turned them. Then something fell out of the Bible and he picked it up and
looked at it closely. It was an old leaf from a tree
that has been pressed in between the pages. Momma, look what I found, the boy
called out. What have you got there, dear?his mother asked. With astonishment
in the young boys voice he answered, Its Adams suit!

Similarities!
My grandson was visiting one day when he asked, Grandma, do you know how you and God
are alike? I mentally polished my halo while I asked, No, Matthew, how are we
alike? Youre both old, he replied.

Deliverance!
I had been teaching my three-year-old daughter, Caitlin, the Lords Prayer. For
several evenings at bedtime, she would repeat after me the lines from the prayer. Finally
she decided to go solo. I listened with pride as she carefully enunciated each word, right
up to the end of the prayer: Lead us not into temptation, she prayed,
but deliver us from e-mail. Amen.

And one particular four-year old prayed, And forgive us our trash baskets as we
forgive those who put trash in our baskets.

Be Sure Your Sin Will Find You Out!
A young boy came to Sunday School late. His teacher knew that he was usually very prompt
and asked him if anything was wrong. The boy replied that he was going fishing but his dad
told him that he needed to go to church. The teacher was very impressed and asked the boy
if his dad had explained to him why it was more important to go to church than to go
fishing. The boy replied, "Yes, dad said he didn't have enough bait for both of
us."

Smile!
A mother noticed that it was about time for school to dismiss and since it looked like it
would rain, she drove toward the school to pick up her eight year old daughter. She turned
down the street to see her daughter running towards her down the sidewalk. A lightning
bolt flashed and the little girl looked up towards the sky, smiled and then began running
towards her mother's van. Another lightning bolt flashed and again the little girl looked
towards the sky, smiled and resumed running. This happened several more times until the
little girl finally arrived at where her mother was parked. Her mom immediately inquired
as to the strange behavior. "Why did you keep stopping and smiling at the sky,"
she asked her daughter. I had to, Mommy. God was taking my picture!"

"But Jesus called the little children to him and said,
"Let the little
children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs
to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the
kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." Luke 18:16-17
