Hi there I'm Jennifer Andrus. I am the head trainer/instructor for On The Spot Horse Training and Professional Services. I have been training horses for the past 17+ years.Have an associates degree from Stephans College in Equine Behavior, and two Certificates of Education one in Horsemanship the other in Horse Management.

Have been involved with horses since a very young age, and that love and respect turned into my career. My training techniques may seem a bit unorthodox to some, but they get results. I do not believe in riding with spurs, whips, or restraints.

I have found that if you allow a horse to mature mentally as well as physically, and bring that horse along at it's own pace you have a much better riding horse. One that is willing to cross any obstacle you put in front of it. A better understanding is created this way.

This is Dave Andrus---he takes care of the sore aching muscles Equine and Human. Dave also helps out if a little extra muscle is needed. He also keeps everything well maintained so it all works the way it's supposed to.

As part of his duties Dave also manages the day to day running of the office. Maning the phones, setting appointments, and keeping Jennifer on track of the next appointments.

Dave also is the first "live" person to get up on young horses. This way if the horse does throw him off he's the one "taking the fall". This is Daves one stipulation in the training area. He doesn't hold anything against the horse, it's only doing what is natural for him.

This is JUANS COPPER KISS aka "Velvet". Velvet is part of this team also. She fills in as a lesson horse. If a clients horse gets sick or injured.
Velvet has a really weird way of looking at all of this I'm sure, because when the hour lesson is over she's already stopped as if to say "okay your times up". Maintaining a calm and trusting nature for when an unsure rider is on her back. Then when Jennifer wants to go for a relaxing ride Velvet will act like a "fruit loop" (just for fun) and carrying on like a Thorobred thats been stalled way too long, unless there is an inexperienced horse going out with them --then it's all business. Who says horses have no sense of humor? Boy are they wrong!
