Duality. We as childrens of some higher force have been predisposed to duality. Everything in our realm is ruled by that balancing factor of black and white, want and need, decision and chance. You are ruled by these factors as each day passes, although the effects of which differ greatly. You as a solitary being have been formed in duality, and it may be disconcerting to unravel the threads that have been pieced together to weave our entire fabric. Day and night, differing cycles of light and dark, of habit, force, need, desire. All life is black and white...good and bad, positive and negative, push and pull. Every decision that we make bears consequences, many with unforeseeable outcomes, and yet with a never ceasing sense of intermingling. The death of a loved one, the darkness in our skies, brings to our minds the days where light shone through, and we gazed across the meadows of Heaven and lost our breath at its beauty. In pain we derive pleasure, and in pleasure we derive pain. If you feed a starving man until he is full, he will begin to lose the desire to feed again until the pains of hunger strike once more. Once the hunger comes, so will the passion for survival, the need to push on. Duality...for even in our darkest days, there shines a light in the heavens...and in our brightest days, shadows are cast across the world. You cannot escape this natural balance; merely accept it and adapt it. Evolution is the key to survival, and if you wish not to succumb to the duality of life, then you must fight. And even then, the end of your duality is always near, and you shall one day be free of us. You will then be mother earth's once more, and as your body returns to its previous state of simple matter, then you will breed life to new organisms, spark new duality. But you are just an individual piece of the spectrum. When one combines their solitary being with the (human) duality, this is when the tapestry becomes more clear.
