Appearance: varies, very colorful with long pectoral fins
I have two male Dwarf Gouramis - a Fire Red, and a Neon Blue. They are absolutely gorgeous and a lot of fun. I got them towards the end of my cycle and they survived, so I think mine may be hardier than some peoples.
My males have proven to be territorial. The blue has claimed my clay pot for his own, and spends much of his time in there. If the red swims by, he gets busted! They do get into little "tiffs", and I've had to break up a few, but no major injuries so far. They usually stay apart, and only get into altercations (haha) after they eat and are searching the bottom for leftovers. Both gouramis leave the other fish alone, though they are occasionally bothered by the tiger barb.
Behavior: docile with community fish, territorial
Reproduction: bubble nest builder
Diet: flake flood
Temperature: warm water aquariums
