U.S. Muslims hope they aren’t blamed
After the terrorist act on the twin towers and pentagon, Muslims feel like they will be blamed because the terrorist were Islamic. After the Oklahoma City bombing, more than 200 Arab and Muslim-Americans were victimized. Muslims that were easily identified as Muslims would have to keep a low profile; they weren’t able to go out in public places. In the Islamic faith it condemns suicide and hurting civilians. Muslims say they will join their fellow Americans in seeking punishment for the perpetrators. “If that person or those people bear Islamic names, that means nothing. We are equally against them. We will repudiate them.”
