Understanding
They can never fully comprehend this madness that is my life
The ones that try, are the ones I love, and for that same reason
The ones that don't, are simply there
Taking up the time I haven't wasted
Sometimes I wish they got it
I wish they understood, so I could talk
Talk freely, openly
Share what I think I know, without worrying
Worrying about letting something slip, letting someone to far in
But as the new day comes
I put up my shield, so as not to let anyone in.
