WHAT CAN we say? We made it. Five years online?! Isn't that something like 20 in "print years?" Or maybe our success should be measured, not by any passage of time, but by the sheer numbers of computer crashes, upgrades, chiropractor's visits, lost files, viruses, spam headaches and worms we've survived since 2000

Seriously, it's been an amazing safari, traipsing magical realism's everchanging literary landscape. Amazing, inspiring, fun, exhausting, educational, compelling. And there's so much more to look forward to!

With five years behind us and many more to go, we're ready to take a hard-earned breather along this open road. Don't worry, we're still coming out with our grand Iberian Peninsula theme issue this May. But we'd like to enjoy a brief respite on a soft pile of laurels for the time being. Won't you sit back with us and enjoy the retrospective we've culled as part of our anniversary spectacular?

In the pop-up contents window below, select from the topics to read about our marvelous contributors, our trials along the way, and what people have to say about Margin and literary magical realism.

We have another amazing, bursting-at-the-seams issue again this winter. Visit the Letter from the Editor for all the groovy details!

Thanks so much for your continued interest in and enthusiasm for our efforts here at Margin. We wouldn't be doing this if it weren't for all the people who have expressed their support through sincere e-mails, monetary donations and good ol' word-of-mouth over the last five years. Thank you for your faith, your ideas, your help and your good cheer!
