Secondary State Highway 5K

SSH 5K was added to the state highway system in 1937. This route began at Jct PSH 5 (now SR 7) in Morton and headed westerly via Onalaska, ending at Jct PSH 1 (US 99). When the US 99 expressway that later was upgraded to I-5 freeway opened in Southern Lewis County in the mid 1950s, SSH 5K was extended west from old 99 to new 99. Today, SSH 5K is SR 508.
