SSH 3I was added to the state highway system in 1937. This route began at Jct PSH 3 (US 195) south of Spokane and headed easterly and northerly to Jcts PSH 2 and 3 (now I-90/US 2/US 395) near Downtown Spokane. This route followed Hatch Rd, Grand Blvd, and other streets. SSH 3I was dropped from the state highway system in 1953.
