State Route 529

SR 529 was added back to the state highway system in 1971 along what had been Business Loop 5 from Exit 192 in Everett to Exit 198 in the south end of Marysville and along SR 528 Spur from Exit 198 to Downtown Marysville. Effective April 1, 1992, the route of SR 529 in Everett was changed. I-5 exit 193 at Pacific Ave became the new southern terminus of Sr 529. From I-5, SR 529 now heads west a block on Pacific, then north on Maple to California, then west on California to Marine View Dr. SR 529 continues North on Marine View Dr past the port area, returning to former SR 529 near the Snohomish River bridge. At the south end of the bridge, SR 529 rejoins its original route and heads north to Marysville, where SR 529 ends at Jct SR 528. Today, SR 529 is 7.88 miles long.

When the southern portion of SR 529 was rerouted in 1992, a spur was added near the southern terminus. The I-5/Pacific Ave junction is only a half interchange. A complimentary interchange is located a few blocks north at California. SR 529 Spur heads east from the SR 529 mainline to the I-5/ California St interchange. This spur is 0.20 miles long.
