State Route 7 starts at Jct US 12 at the south end of Morton and heads north via Elbe, Spanaway, and Parkland to Jct I-5 (Exit 133) and Jct I-705 in Tacoma. SR 7 is 55.26 miles long.
Before 1964, SR 7 was part of the Tacoma-Mount Rainier and Elbe-Kosmos branches of PSH 5.
