She stepped in, pulling her cloak about her tightly. Her once pretty face, with high cheek bones, tanned and light brown hair cascading down to her shoulders, was now scarred and notched. No doubt she had been through much, too much for a mere sixteen year old girl, not even yet an adult. But it had been so, and what had happened, happened, and she was determined to live with it, bad or not. She hand't any family, they had been slain when she was but four, even her brother. Her sister was long missing, no where to be found. That was the reason she had come into the kingdom in the first place, to locate Samriel. The population was low, she could see...and no sign of her sister. Oh well, she thought, never will find her anyways..don't even know why I try. She turn and sat right in the middle of the street, in the depths of depression.

With days of travel behind her, she had become hungry, even starved one may say. Her stomach snarled angrily at her from neglection. Standing, she brushed her backside off and staggered to the group of people. "excuse me, but could you spare a bite to eat to a weary traveler?"

:: he raises his head to look at her and then nods, his large battle scared hand holds out a plate with some dried beef, bread and a rarity in these harsh lands, an orange, pearly whites shine from within that bearded face, ocean blue eyes gaze intensely upon her framed by his windblown shoulder length brown hair. It's evident the plate he hands her was his, but he offers it to her anyways.::

"Oh thank you, sir, thank you!" she exclaims, snatching food up. She nearly shoves it all into her waiting jaws until she calms herself, reminding herself that to eat a big meal after recent starvation could be fatal in itself. With that, she began to take tiny nibbles of the food, her violet eyes shining gratefully up at the kind man. While eating, she noticed the other woman that had rode in; and sat silent envying the woman's beauty and cursing her battle scars.
