November, 2006: Tucker is #4 agility Aussie for AKC and will be at the AKC Invitational jumping in the 24" class in Long Beach, California! Also . . . Tucker earned his MACH2 a while back and has 8 double-qualifying scores towards earning #3.
Update: Tucker did great at the Invitational in Long Beach. Out of 101 dogs he placed 2nd in Round 1, 4th in Round 2. Unfortunately, Tucker was unable to compete further due to an injury.
Donegal's Tucker, CD, MX, MXJ, CGC, FDChTaco x TopperOwned and Loved by: Lisa Ross Tucker's registered name is simple . . . "Donegal's Tucker." His titles (so far!!) are: NA, OAJ, and FDCH (flyball dog champion). Now he has his AKC/ASCA CD. He doesn't compete in flyball tournaments anymore, but Tucker is an active member of the Puget Sound Flyers half-time act for the NBA and NHL. He entered both days of the AKC Seattle show....got 1st in novice obedience on Saturday, and 4th on Sunday for 2 legs toward his AKC CD. In Bow a couple of weeks ago he placed 2nd in novice obedience for 1 leg towards his ASCA CD. Tucker's still doing great in agility bringing in many 1st and 2nd places . . . he has his OAJ and NA titles so far. Lisa plans on entering all the upcoming ASCA-sanctioned NADAC trials. We wish you luck, Lisa and Tucker!

Tucker is now 1/3 of the way towards earning his MACH. . . he’s developed into a terrific agility dog, he absolutely LOVES working. We’re having a blast! Tucker continues to be an active performer with the Puget Sound Flyers (www.pugetsoundflyers.com). . . we’re going on a “Three-City Tour” back east in February 2004 to do half-time shows for the NY Knicks, NJ Nets, and PA 76’ers. The PSF website is always updated with local and national performance dates. . . .
We’ll also be attending the USASA Nationals for the first time in April 2003, competing at the Excellent level in Agility and the Open level in obedience, so wish us luck. My goal is to continue working with Tucker on sheep so I can enter him in the Versatility competitions in 2004. . . let’s see if I can stick to it!!
The NBA photographer at Madison Square Gardens took these 3 photos of Tucker during his February 2004 performance for the NY Knicks!
10/22/05 Update from Lisa and Tucker:
In addition to earning his Master Agility Champion title (MACH) this past August, I just ran the AKC Top Agility Dogs report. At this moment in time, our own Donegal’s Tucker is the #7 Australian Shepherd in the nation!!! He’s #32 of ALL 24” jumpers (including all breeds . . . about 28 Border Collies ahead of him, a Belgian T, a couple of Dobermans). The rankings are based on speed points, so a dog needs to be both a consistent qualifier, and fast, to rank near the top. Not too shabby, eh? I am so proud of our boy!! In November, we'll be going to Scottsdale to compete in the USDAA World Cynosports Games, and in January, 2006, we’ll travel again to Tampa, FL for the AKC National Agility Championships. Wish us luck! Go, Donegal!!!
