Donegal Australian Shepherds

We just got back last night from the great dog caper, down in Menroe. It was a blast and everyone just loves Darcy and can't believe he is only just 4 months old --- he loves anyone who can say his name and give him pets, in fact many of my friend's parents and others say that they would baby sit him any time, because he gets plays to the level of the person -- I have a friend who has special needs and he instantly quiets down and sits to let her pet him, it is really cute! He also will walk by her if I need her to walk him, then lay down when they stop for a short while and when he knows he can be total puppy again, he will with my other friends, it is soooo cute! I just love him to pieces!

We left Friday afternoon and spent the night in this huge building, and then on Saturday we go through different classes with --- Showmanship, Obedience, Rally, Agility, Dog bowl, etc... We also the first day Darcy and I went through this test and passed, so he is a AKC Canine Good Citizen Test Qualifier. He was so good and we had so much fun!

My favorite class (and I think it was Darcy's as well) was the Agility class, he hasn't been through/seen any of the obstacles until this. It was so much fun. Once we went through the tunnel and figured out it was a game to run through it and meet me on the other side, he couldn't wait to run through them! He even did the collapsible tunnel --he wasn't sure of it till he saw my friends dog going through it and once he saw that, he had to run through too! So he would get all ready to run and couldn't wait once he new that I wanted him to go in the tunnel!

He also did really good at the A Frame, he couldn't wait to run over them. It was a lot of fun for both of us at the dog caper and were both really tired (though he crashes like 3 minutes in any moving vehicle) and I don't sleep in vehicles, so he was all energized after a 3 hours nap.

Gayle, I was over at my parents on Memorial Day and got some new pictures of Cobber so I thought you’d enjoy seeing some.  One of the pictures was taken shortly after I got him so you can see how much he’s grown and the two side view pictures were taken a couple of weeks before Memorial Day.
