Laeral Ashgrove

Laeral was born one year after her brother, Wyn, the daughter of the rape of Lady Escalla. For years she was unaware of who her real father was, until her step father Lord Zeldern ordered her death. At the edge of the Ashgrove estate, frightened beyond anything she had ever encountered up to that point in her life, Rashemeir Chultah appeared to her. He was her father, claiming that Escalla had taken him to bed when Zeldern no longer wanted her, and then sent him away when she found herself pregnant. He had stayed because of his loyalty to his daughter, and now was here to help her get away.......or help her take her revenge against the elves.

he was strong in the human magics of telepathy and telekinesis. Within a few months, she was ready, and
she leveled the entire estate with very little of Rashemeir's help.

But blood begets blood, and the deaths of her family did not appease her. She wanted more death, more
elves to die for the pain they had caused. This was what Rashemeir wanted; the complete and total
destruction of the elves, and now he had it within his grasp. He told her of the Drow, the legendary dark
elves that lived beneath the earth, and of the giant vein of beryl that they had been mining for the last few
thousand years.

Beryls, though plain, are gems to the elves; beryls help amplify their powers ten fold, can store power for
later use, and are used as the infamous elf-shot. With as much beryl as Rashemeir said there was, and with
Laeral's half-blood powers, she could eradicate elves all across the continent within a day.

Now, Wyn, Ardeyn, Sebeles, and Davoren travel to the Drow underworld in order to stop these two from
their hideous deed; but once Laeral finds out Davoren's heritage and his hatred for elves, she may have
another to add to her team.
