Day 7 [09 Jun 99]: Rottnest Island

This cute little animal is called Quokka, and the whole lot of them lives on this island. Rottnest Island, in short, simply means the 'Home of the Quokkas'.

They do look cute and adorable, don't they? But watch out, 'cause they might just snatch your things away!

Our stay here at Rottnest Island was a bit exhausting but fun! The only transport available is Bicycle. Most of the road and pathway throughout the island were not wide enough for vehicles like cars or vans to enter, that's why we have to travel by bike around the whole island.

We slept in the Kingston Barracks, which was shared among ± 9 people in a barrack, and which, was really cold after sundown. We were shivering almost the whole night! Also partly because the heater was down together with the sun. ********Get the Joke???********

Anyway, we had a wonderful fun time over at Rottnest Island. ^_^
