Tenchi is very kind and considerate to others. He grew up with his father, Noboyuki, but his mother died as a child. Now, at the age of 17 he lives with his grandfather. Things were pretty boring during the summer for Tenchi, until he summons the demon Ryoko unintentionally, Ayeka awakens from thousands of years of sleep, and all of the sudden the universe is in his hands. Tenchi has power to kill, and could have killed Akira and many other threats, but is too kind-hearted to kill anyone. Tenchi, i believe has powers beyond anyone but Tsunami, his sword really isn't his true power but his Jurian power is beyond that of Kagato. With Tenchi's full power Kagato is helpless, and he proves it many times too.

Ryoko's spaceship is Ryo-ohki, who has the ability to turn into one at Ryoko's command. Ryoko was created by Washu, so, as she says, is technically her mother, which infuriates Ryoko. She is over-tempered and has the most interesting personality than any character, and is the exact opposite in personality of Ayeka. Several thousand years ago she attacked Jurai, but was locked away by Yosho in a cave, one of Tenchi's distant relatives. Some time later, curious Tenchi unleashed her from her cave. She wanted revenge on anyone she could find after she got out, and attacked Tenchi while he was at school late at night. Tenchi used the sword he found to lop off her hand. On it was a fake Gem that gave her power. The gem was destroyed. These gems are created by her but take a few hundred years and aren't as powerful as the three original gems. Ryoko loves Tenchi but she is far too outgoing for Tenchi's taste. Alas, Tenchi still likes her a little bit... a little. Kagato's powers are obsolete to Ryoko, but i think that Tenchi could destroy Ryoko. Jurian power seems to be the best of them all, if you know how to use it.

Abilities: Aweken Tsunami, Magical Wand (can do several things including corny things)
Sasami is just as good as a cook as she is kind-hearted. Sasami has powers, but is too young and hasn't quite grown into them yet - but she is spiritually linked to Tsunami whom does have powers. Tsunami is probably the most powerful person of them all, she can activate the lighthawk wings. Sasami has good reason to like Tenchi, not only because he is also Jurain blood, but Tenchi cares about Sasami - she's the only one who doesn't constantly flirt with him anyway.

Abilities: Activate Jurian shields and beam
Ayeka sure is a shy character in the beggining, and her heart is broken easily. She falls in love with Tenchi too, finding out he is Jurian. I think Ayeka is the best character - her personality is very fragile and she is easily angered, but she is much softer than anyone.
