"This stuff smells so bad!," Erica said to her best friend and fellow employee Ronnie. They shared the post behind the cosmetics counter. "I know, who would actually buy this crap," Ronnie replied as she wrinkled her nose in distaste, although she also knew this stuff was probably the only stuff she could afford on what she makes.
"All the people we told they smelled wonderful in it," Erica and Ronnie both laughed this because they knew it was true. Erica and Ronnie had known eachother for about a year, even though they felt like they'd known eachother forever. They came from completely different backgrounds which might have been what attached them to be friends. Erica came from a very rich family that probably owned half the town, her father was very high powered while her mother was always throwing big lavish parties. It all didn't really phase Erica and she seemed like a totally normal person and that's what Ronnie liked about her, and plus she had a fantastic closet which she always let Ronnie explore. She liked borrowing things from Erica because she came from what Erica's family would probably call the wrong side of the tracks, but Erica knew her parents were very hard working because they really wanted to provide for the family. They were both 17 and were in their senior year of school, and Erica was the only child in her family who had chosen to go to public school. Right now they were trying to raise money to go visit their friends in college. It was taking then they first anticipated because Erica parents already told her that they wouldn't pay for such a frivolous trip. I thought that was kind of stupid. They had also been fired from their last two jobs, they were always making trouble. Since they lost their last job they starting working in a seedy perfume store. The only people that came in this store were fat ugly women and men who were trying to look rich. They also agreed to buy almost anything the girl suggested. "Did you father buy that new car,?" Ronnie asked Erica. Erica's dad promised to buy Erica a sweet new car if she didn't go away on this trip, so she basically lied so we'd have wheels when we left. He was buying her all this stuff, yet he still made her work which Ronnie find very pointless. The door to the store opened and a very well dressed man walked in which made Ronnie and Erica raise their eyebrows. They didn't think much of it and went back to their conversation. "No, but I'm supposed to get it next week for my birthday," Ronnie answered.
mmmm, lucky you...," Ronnie trailed off when she saw the barrel of the gun that handsome man was now pushing in her face!
