Work experience

March 1998 - Present Technical Resource Manager A pre IPO e-commerce company which recently received 25.6mm venture capital funding. They decided to invest a substantial amount of that funding toward staffing. I was hired for a three month contract through Personnel Management Systems, in order to establish their HR/Recruiting department. I recruited for technical positions such as Development Manager, CFO, MIS Director, C++ Developers, Business Process Analysts and Program Managers, among other positions. I was responsible for the strategic direction of recruiting, sourcing, advertising and salary/stock option negotiations for Techwave. I developed and implemented a VB/Access database for resume storage. This position required strong interaction with senior managers as well as contract negotiations for all staffing agency partners. July 1996 - March 1998 Technical Resource Manager Washington Responsible for candidate sourcing, technical recruiting, staff management and account management for various strategic accounts. I specialized in 5 technology sectors; Networks and Communications, Work Group Desktop Solutions, Database Design and Development, Legacy Systems and Internet-Intranet Technologies. Conducted interviews and reference checks, background checks, sourcing, contract negotiations, rate negotiations, account coordination and follow up. Performed 30-60-90 day reviews with all candidates as well as attending regularly scheduled meetings with Clients. Requires strong technical aptitude as well as interpersonal skills. Managed all human resource issues for contractors and acted as liaison to senior level executives. 1993 -- 1996 Independent Consultant Provided technical design, problem resolution, system programming and architecture, business requirements analysis and definition, training and project implementation for various large accounts such as Boeing, USWest, GTE, AT&T and Bank of America. Was highly involved in bandwidth balancing/allocation, enterprise network solutions and executive level presentations as well as mission critical problem resolution. Certified on DMS100, DMS200, DMS250, various Northern Telecom equipment, ACD, Octel and AVT Voice Mail Systems and AT&T 5ESS with ISDN. T1 and T3 Networking, BRI and PRI provisioning and IVR/VRU design and programming. 1991 -- 1993 Network Analyst Responsible for the overall analysis, administration and management of the corporate worldwide network. Worked with CISCO, TIMEPLEX, NEAX2400, OCTEL, IVR, VRU, T1-T3 and fractional services networking, bandwidth allocation and balancing. Project management and requirements analysis for all Microsoft alpha and beta testing projects. Monitor all FCC regulatory issues and ISDN SS7 technology deployment pertaining to Microsoft Corporation. Established ISDN features and requirements issues as pertaining to MS offices worldwide. Supervised personnel responsible for daily administration of the WAN, MAN and campus cabling systems. Evaluate and recommend all strategic carrier contracts and network services and present those options to internal organizations. Negotiated and managed the VTNS and SCA contracts for MS as well as all other existing contracts for network services. Significant effort toward worldwide SS7/ISDN deployment planning. Developed Access Visual Basic application for Microsoft network inventory and accounting functions. Managed MS 800 service reporting and provisioning.

1987 -- 1991 Lead Telecommunications Analyst, Strategic Accounts Responsibilities included business analysis and requirements definition, system design, installation management and customer training for various strategic account modules. I was responsible for problem resolution and new technology presentations to all strategic accounts. Major requirement of this position was the ability to interview customers, identify tasks and provide documentation and present solutions to all levels. Provided installed base support, system upgrades, project deployment, resource allocation, system programming and RFP response preparation. Worked very closely with all central offices and internal organizations to insure customer satisfaction. Served as fourth level escalation point for critical situations. Worked primarily with AT&T 5ESS, ISDN, OCTEL, AVT, NT SL-1, NT Norstar, DMS100, DMS200, DMS250, ACD's UCD's, NEC2100 and UNIX systems.

1983 -- 1987 Telecommunications Manager Responsible for telecommunication systems management on Northern Telecom SL-1 system. System design, requirements analysis, programming, internal training, facilities planning and all add, moves and changes to the telephone, voicemail and IVR systems. Daily office management and purchasing. Also spent a short period of time installing Seilox security systems. Certified in Seilox systems installation, architecture and maintenance.

1982 -- 1983 Regional Service Representative San Francisco, CA Began employment as receptionist/clerk. Transferred to contract administration where I was involved in requirements analysis, system design, telco ordering and customer training on Executone proprietary systems (Triad, Gateway, Enterprise). Responsible for Northern California region.

1979 -- 1982 C.B. and Sound Spokane, WA Performed general office duties.
