Indepth study of the 6th seal.

This study will document from Gods word that what is given to us in the 6th seal (Revelation 6:12-17) is speaking entirely of the events of the Lords return. The 6th seal that is opened gives us some details of what will take place during the 7th trump. This study will also dispel the false belief that the 6th seal opened speaks of the appearance of the Antichrist and/or the time when satan and his angels are cast out of heaven.

The seals are not opened in numerical order. Which means that the 6th seal opened is not the number 6 seal. And the 1st seal opened is not the number 1 seal.

Let me give a simple example of how this could be. Pretend we have 7 boxes to open. But instead of opening the box labeled “number 1” first, we open box 6 first. And then we open the others in a random order. The 2nd box opened could be box number 3. The 3rd box could be box number 5. And so on.

1st box opened is box number 6
2nd box opened is box number 3
3rd box opened is box number 5
4th box opened is box number 1
5th box opened is box number 4
6th box opened is box number 7
7th box opened is box number 2

Notice how the boxes are opened out of order, just as the seals are.
So you can see how things could get complicated when trying to convey how the first box opened isnt box 1.

The seals are the same. I havent looked into what number of seal was opened in what order yet. I do believe that seal number 6 was the first seal opened. Seal number 6 is the seal that deals with the appearance of the false christ. I also know that the 6th seal opened is seal number 7. Seal number 7 is the seal that deals with the Lords return. Seal number 7 was the 6th seal opened.

So, the 6th seal does indeed speak of the Ac's appearance, but not in the 6th seal that was opened, and the Lord's return is spoken of in the 7th seal but not the 7th seal that was opened.

That’s basically the best way I can explain the seals order in this format. If that is too confusing just put it on the shelf.

Now that we have that out of our way lets look at what the 6th seal opened says. I will be comparing the verses in the 6th seal to Matthew 24, where Christ speaks of the seals, and the Revelation verses that deal with the 6th seal opened and verses dealing with the 7th trump and 7th vial, as well as verses from the Old Testament.

I will be documenting that the 6th seal opened is foretelling the events of the 7th trump, which is no less than the return of the King of Kings, the true Lamb, Jesus Christ.

Earthquake

6th seal opened
Rv:6:12:
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; (KJV)

When Christ returns there will be a great earthquake. Lets look at other verses that document that.

7th trump
Rv:11:19:
And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. (KJV)

7th vial
Rv:16:18:
And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. (KJV)

Darkening of the sun and moon.

6th seal opened
Rv:6:12:
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; (KJV)

Note that blood very quickly turns brownish, to very dark in color after it begins to dry. The subject here is that the sun shall go dark. Since the moon simply relects the suns light, when the sun darkens so does the moon. To say something was the color of blood means to say it was dark.

Both the sun and moon are darkened and give no light. Christ is angry, it’s the day of his wrath and he withholds light from the deceived/evil people of the world, those who have taken the mark of the beast. Christ is the true light of the world and he has cut them off from His glory.

Lets look at other verses that document that.

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Note that this happens after the tribulation. That means this happens when Christ returns.

Joel 2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Note that the word "before" means at that moment not before as in previous in time. It should read "at" rather than "before".

This is like when a person would come before a judge for a matter. Which means that he is there at that moment facing the judge

So, the verse says these things happen at the Lords day, and not "before" the Lords day as it seems to imply.

Joel:3:13:

The subject is the Lord's day and how near it is, and then it procedes to tell us of that day.

Zephaniah 1:14
The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
Zephaniah 1:15
That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

The subject is the Lord's day and how near it is, and then it procedes to tell us of that day.

This is a complete darkening of the sun and moon, not a partial darkening as a third but totally darkened and not showing any light. This is not a darkness due to something such as "smoke" blocking the light. In this day, symbolically, the sun shall stop shining.

Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
Amos 5:19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
Amos 5:20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Falling stars.

6th seal opened
Rv:6:13:
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. (KJV)

This verse in the 6th seal opened was the hardest one to understand for me. I knew that this was the Lords day but didn’t know how these stars that fall like untimely figs belonged. It does not say the stars fell with figs. The object here is the stars and how they fell. The figs mentioned have nothing to do with good or bad figs as in Judah or the Kenites. God likes to use the Fig tree and its figs as teaching examples. This is only saying the stars fall like untimely figs when shaken by strong forces. The wind/wrath is not directed at the stars/figs, but at the world and heavens in general, and in this fury of events stars will fall to the Earth.

Please make sure your eyes and ears are opened. The truth is so easy when the HS removes the blinders from our eyes. These angels are not the angels that fall with satan to the earth. These angels fall to earth with Christ on His day.

After, After, After, three times for emphasis. After what tribulation? The tribulation of the Ac of course. What happens after the tribulation? Stars fall from heaven, and the heavens are shaken. Satan and his angels fell before the tribulation but these angels fall after the tribulation. That is a very important difference! This happens long after satan and his angels are kicked out of heaven.

6th seal opened
Rv:6:13:
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. (KJV)

“Even as” means “like”. Like a fig tree casts figs in a great wind. That’s all it is trying to say. The stars fall like figs do in a mighty wind. Straight, fast and in large numbers!

Revelation adds the word untimely, but don’t let that word throw you, it’s the same event!

Untimely means a time you werent expecting, not at the time you would have thought, a surprise. Does not Christ come as a theif in the night? A complete surprise to the world? They won't be expecting him because they will think he is already here! Imagine their shock, it will seem extremely untimely to the world. They shall think the harvest to be over, having been harvested by the AC.

Having said that, there is some debate on whether the greek word olunthos, which is translated there into the two words "untimely" figs, actually means untimely or not. Even Strong admits that the origin of this word is uncertain and therefore the definition could be incorrect.

And do not think satan and his angels can return to Heaven and fall a second time, they cannot.

Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Revelation 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

They cannot be found any more in heaven once they are cast out.

Back to Matthew

Do not let the word fall be a stumbling block to you. It isnt saying these angels have forsaken God by falling to earth. Heaven is symbolically higher than the Earth, and to go from Heaven to Earth can be described as “falling” to the Earth. To go from a higher place to a lower.

The 6th seal opened is what Christ was speaking of. The stars that fall in that seal are falling to the Earth from Heaven with Christ. Note how the word shaken is used to describe the turmoil of the events in both accounts.

Shaken

Look at Isaiah, and see what happens on the Lords day.

Is:13:9:
Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. (KJV)
Is:13:10:
For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. (KJV)
Is:13:11:
And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. (KJV)
Is:13:12:
I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. (KJV)
Is:13:13:
Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. (KJV)

The subject is the Lord's day and how near it is, and then it procedes to tell us of that day.

The heavens are shaken on the Lords day. Angels/stars fall to Earth on the Lords day. Is it not clear who the stars that fall like figs truely are?

One more witness of the heavens being shaken when the Lord overthrows the kingdom of satan.

Haggai 2:21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
Haggai 2:22 And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.

Sounds like Babylon falling to me.

Revelation 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Revelation 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
Revelation 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
Revelation 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

Christ and His army of angels

These are Christs angels, His army that comes with Him from Heaven to the Earth to fight satan. This is taking place within the 7th trump, which the 6th seal opened is foretelling.

Revelation 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Again, Christ returns with his own army of angels to fight satan. These angels are "stars" and whenever a star goes from Heaven to Earth the star can be figuratively said to have "fallen" from one place to the other. >From our perspective in symbology, these stars will be falling out from the heavens unto the earth. Since the timeframe is clearly after the tribulation, there are only Christ's army of angels in heaven.

Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
Jude 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

2 Thessalonians 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
2 Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Heaven departs as a scroll

Lets re-read the last verses we delt with in the 6th seal opened to remind us where we are at in the seal.

Rv:6:13:
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. (KJV)

Rv:6:14:
And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. (KJV)

When something is rolled like a scroll it means it has been closed, or emptied and being put away. Note that the previous verse says that the stars of Heaven left Heaven and fell to the Earth, hence Heaven rolling up and “departing” figuratively. Heaven at this time is basically empty. Most of Heaven's Host have come to the Earth. First the bad angels left, and now the good angels have left to fight the bad angels.

2Pt:3:10:
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (KJV)

Could this be the same as the Heavens shaking and rolling up as a scroll? I think it is the very same event.

Why would this happen to the Heavens? Maybe this verse will explain.

2Pt:3:13:
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (KJV)

We know that there shall be a new Heavenly age, therefore the old one shall depart. Simple enough to understand don’t you think?

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

The Heavenly age dissolves and departs like a scroll and passes away at Christs return.

Back to the 6th seal opened.

Rv:6:14:
And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. (KJV)

The very same thing happens in the 7th vial, which is poured in the 7th trump.

Revelation 16:20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

Christs return/the shame of the world is revealed

6th seal opened
Rv:6:15:
And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; (KJV)

Remember this is the 6th seal opened, why are these people hiding? And who are they hiding from?

Rv:6:16:
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: (KJV)

They have already worshipped the false christ, and now that the true Christ has returned they are so ashamed they hope the rocks will fall on them.

Matthew also documents that they will mourn when they see Him return because of their shame.

Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Same thing in Revelation

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Except the Elect, the whole world will be mourning their horrible sin of worshipping satan. The Elect shall be celebrating!

6th seal opened
Rv:6:17:
For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (KJV)

There is only one day of the Lambs wrath, Christ's return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. No one will be able to stand against Christ on this day, in fact all knees shall bow. This is symbolic as well as literal.

Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Thus ends the 6th seal opened's account of the true Lambs return.
